Nokia today unveiled the Nokia N79, the latest addition to the Nokia Nseries range that combines intelligent and customizable design with a fully-loaded multimedia computer. Behind its sleek exterior, the Nokia N79 is a technology powerhouse. It offers a full range of multimedia experiences including integrated navigation, music with FM transmitter, high-speed connectivity, superior web browsing, at least 10 pre-loaded N-Gage games and an advanced 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics. The Nokia N79 is expected to begin shipping in October 2008, with an estimated retail price of EUR 350, before taxes and subsidies.

“The Nokia N79 packs cutting-edge technology into a compact design - a characteristic of the iconic Nseries - that allows people to discover, create and share their passions with others,” said Juha Kokkonen, Director, Nokia Nseries. “It has been designed for those who want a device that is as appealing as it is powerful and comes with interchangeable covers that have automatically matching screen themes. This balance of performance and style means that it is a powerful and defining step forward from the popular and very successful Nokia N72 and Nokia N73.”

Perfect for the style conscious, the Nokia N79 comes with Xpress-on smart covers that are available in five cool colors: Light Sea Blue, Espresso Brown, Olive Green, White and Coral Red. A combination of three of these comes with each Nokia N79.

The convergence of photos, music and navigation in the Nokia N79 combines with high-speed 3.5G HSDPA and Wi-Fi to make it quick and easy to share experiences on websites, blogs or online communities.

Experience new discoveries

The innovative technology packed into this colorful offering means that accessing a rich pool of services to further enhance individual experiences is seamless. Log on to online communities like Friendster, Flickr or YouTube or click through to Nokia services such as the Nokia Music Store, N-Gage, Nokia Maps and Share on Ovi, an online service that enables consumers to share personal pictures and videos from their mobile devices.

The 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, dual LED flash and video light captures sharp, clear images and video that can be edited immediately, without the need for a PC. Images can also be geotagged to specific locations. What’s more, the Nokia N79 comes packaged with a 4 GB microSD memory card that makes it possible to store around 3,000 songs, approximately 2,500 pictures and up to four hours of DVD-quality video clips that can be organized by albums or tags and uploaded directly to Share on Ovi or third party services. The addition of a sliding lens cover helps protect the top-quality lens when not in use.

Nokia Maps makes it easy to explore and navigate new surroundings by accessing more than 15 million points of interest (POI). In-built A-GPS providing turn-by-turn navigation - for walking or driving - comes with a three month integrated license on the Nokia N79.

A Friendster widget will also be made available for the Nokia N79 via the WidSets service. This will allow people to browse Friendster friends’ profiles, view and post shoutouts, upload pictures taken with their handset, and browse their own and friends’ photo albums. All this enables more effective communication with friends while away from a computer using the Nokia N79. New users can even register for Friendster directly on their device via a link to Friendster’s mobile site (m.friendster.com), create an account, and instantly begin participating in the Friendster global community.

To ensure each device is as distinctive as its user, customizable features are available at the Nokia Download! store, a one stop personalization shop, already embedded in Nokia Nseries devices. It lets consumers create a unique experience for themselves by offering easy access to a multitude of popular ringtones, branded entertainment content, the latest in mobile gaming and dynamic applications for personalizing mobile devices to the user’s own preferences.

Android Market will initially offer freeware applications only, in combination with a feedback and rating system similar to YouTube. Similar to YouTube, content can debut in the marketplace after completing three steps: register as a merchant, upload and describe your content and publish it.

Unlike Nokia’s marketplace, and eventually Apple’s App Store, the Android Marketplace will allow unsigned applications to be distributed; it seems like Palm could get some serious competition for its upcoming OS. Google also intend to provide developers with a dashboard and analytics to help improve their offerings. The first handsets are promised to be enabled with a beta version of Android Market.

Though a date has not been set, Google plans to roll out a final release of Android Market shortly after the HTC Dream has hit store shelves. Then, developers will be able to offer paid content and more features such as versioning and multiple device profile support. With the addition of a marketplace that combines both freeware and paid applications, Google hopes to have made the Android ecosystem more robust.

The only missing piece of the puzzle is to hook up Google AdSense for mobile, but we guess it’ll come sooner rather than later.

The Many Ways to Keep in Touch
By K Cantera

Remember when you just had to run to your friend s house down the street to let them know that you wanted to play? Or when you had to plan days in advance what time your mom would pick you up from soccer practice? Even when you had to hit “flash” to switch over when someone beeped in on your phone? Before the days of communicating with technological ease, we were all used to some more primitive methods. But there are still even more new ways to get in touch and keep in touch, as well as the older, dependable ones that are still around.

Even though it s already been around for years, the classic email is still a much-loved method of contact. Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks made us love hearing “You ve Got Mail” every time we open our email accounts. Particularly for people living far away or traveling, the tried and true email will always be utilized to keep in touch.

Akin to email is the eCard, a new wave of greeting cards. Did you forget to send you mom a birthday present in time? Pick out a touching card to send straight to her email account. And you can even customize these animated gifts of love and thoughtfulness with your own message. ECards are also perfect for every day use. You can cheer up someone s bad day, or just let someone know that you re thinking about them. The best part is that it s just like a regular email you don t have to enable a special service to receive and view them.

The majority of people today own cell phones. But even more popular than just calling, it s texting that has become the practice of choice, mainly because it s much more conspicuous than talking on your phone. Bored during class? Text your best friend! What about when you re at work and need to make plans for the night? Texting lets you send the same message to whoever you want, all at the same time. Now there are even picture messages, when something is too great not to share visually with someone.

A lesser known feature of text messaging is the quick message. You can make a personalized message and save it on your phone to use whenever you want. Maybe you and your sister have an inside joke that puts you into hysterics every time you say it. Type it into your phone, save it in your quick messages, and have it ready to send whenever you want.

Instant messaging is another classic method of chatting with your friends. Most of us can remember spending hours online after school with fifteen chat box windows open, hearing the sound bytes of doors opening and closing as people signed on and off of our Buddy List. Composing the perfect Away Message could take hours, because you knew everyone important would check it to see what you were doing. Believe it or not, this communication technique is definitely still around and still being used to communicate with friends and loved ones.

When you need a more detailed account of someone s life, or when someone is requesting more information about yours, try a blog. Blogging is a great new way to give people insights into your everyday life, complete with pictures and all. A wedding blog can be a great way to let people know how the planning is coming, where the events will be, and where you have registered. Or keep a travel blog while you re on vacation. Instead of putting all your pictures in a box never to be scrapbooked and shared, you can post them daily on your blog. It s as personal as keeping a journal, but can help others stay updated on your life.

No matter how convenient these methods of communication are, some things are still better when done face-to-face. So next time you are tempted to break up with your boyfriend or girlfriend in a text message, think back to a simpler time, and don t be a coward. And don t let someone know that you re angry at them by bashing them in your blog. All these advances are meant to increase communication, not make it more complicated.

Here the Author Kevin Cantera, a free lance writer in Utah, writes about the many ways used to keep in touch in life like everytime favorite - Emails and E-cards, Blogging and instant messaging or sending picture messages through your cellular phones. Today cellular phones give more than communication like video phone, mobile video sharing, video sharing community, phone video sharing, etc. For more information, visit http://www.vringo.com

Did you know that you really can find people by phone number? Sometime or the other, everybody finds themselves in the position where they want to find somebody, but all they have is their phone number. Whether it is something as innocent and sweet as tracking down an old friend or you want to track down somebody who has been harassing you over the phone, there are ways to do this now.

Of course, the issue has been much debated, but you can find information on anybody absolutely legally. There are public records of people s private data (private to a certain extent). This does mean that you can find people by phone number quite easily, but you will definitely have to go a step beyond thumbing through the Yellow Pages.

Online phone directories are dime a dozen now. You can find online versions of the phone directory you probably have on the table beside the phone at home, and then you can go a step further and find directories that have just about all public information you could possibly find about a person. The first kind is easy to find, and is usually free, but the second kind is not. Of course, these directories represent hours and hours of work from a dedicated staff, so it is obvious that you will not get it free of charge.

The free directories can find people by phone number as long as you have a land line number. If you want to track down a cell phone number, chances are that you will not find it in a free directory. The only exceptions are if the owner has chosen to let his or her cell number be included in free directories, as part of public records. Since most people do not do this, this is a limitation.

As long as you only want the name and the address, free directories are good enough. If you want any more information or details, you will not find anything on any free directories, since they all have the same database. If you are after more detailed results, you have to turn to paid directories.

Through these paid directories, you can find people by phone number even if all you have is a cell phone number. These directories will also have pager and VoIP numbers and other unlisted numbers. You can also find a lot more than just names and addresses - you can get information regarding their family, marital status, financial status, property owned, criminal record and so on.

All paid directories will not give you all these details. They have different information compilations and different ways of payment, so you have to find the one that is right for you. Thanks to the new information age you have plenty of options to find people by phone number now.

It is easy to find people by phone number nowadays. Read my blog and find what you need instantly!

The Power of Words
By Joan Grobb Augustino

A short time ago I had the occasion to watch a current film version of “The Diary of Anne Frank”. I was once again reminded of the power of words to change lives, inspire spirits and challenge our thoughts.

The simple observations of a young 14-year-old girl in a time of great oppression have served to inspire hundreds of thousands of other people who have never set foot upon her homeland or experienced the horrors of war. Yet, Anne Frank s words have survived the bombs, the death camps and the cruelties of the 2nd World War and have somehow connected us to the private thoughts of a girl facing adolescence while trying to grow up in a world gone mad.

So, when people tell me that the “soft skills” have no impact, I think of the power of Anne s words - and how they may have changed the course of history by reaching out and connecting us with the values that we need to drive our countries and our businesses into the future.

When people challenge me that the “soft skills” and learning to connect with each other isn t important in the “real world”, I am reminded of her simple yet elegant descriptions, of the way her words helped us to experience her feelings and to understand. Her words, with their honesty and, at times, heart searching questions, have challenged us to put our values to work and stand up for our beliefs before someone else gets to decide what those beliefs are.

What a gift she has left and what a power her words have over us - to lead us, to inspire us, to guide us to be something better than we ever thought possible.

As a businessperson, I ask you this question: what do you want your reputation to be? What legacy do your words leave?

A reputation is based on your values and how your express those values in your everyday words and actions. It s about walking your talk daily and with authenticity. It s about effecting change wisely, with impact, meaning, and responsibility.

Consider this. When you know what your values are, and you dare to speak them to the world, not behind closed doors to only that are “strategically aligned”, it will align you with those that share the same values. And that will give you energy and allow your business to grow with more ease, more consistency and with more impact.

And here s the added bonus: it will steer you away from others who will drain your energy and steer you away from your vision, your goals.

The next time you engage in a business conversation, talk to a client or speak to an employee, consider this: what is the legacy of your words, of your work, of your life? How will your words impact the people who hear them or read them? Will they connect us, inspire us and give us the guidance we need to make us better? Or, will they hurt us, accuse us and move us further apart?

Soft skills, your ability to connect &amp communicate with others, are really the hard skills of this new conceptual age - the age in which connecting and making meaning of the vast amounts of information at hand will determine the success or failure of many businesses - and people.

Your words, your power, and your choice - it s really up to you. What do you want your reputation (in business AND in life) to be?

Whatever your reasons may be for wanting to find out who that phone number belongs to, never feel that they are not legitimate concerns. And, don t worry that you are alone in needing to find this information out. Sadly, many people have concerns that a spouse or a partner may be having an affair because of telephone numbers that keep appearing with no name. Not only that, there are just as many people, usually women, who are being stalked with phone calls from unknown numbers - and that can be frightening.

But, are the phone number trace services legitimate? There are some very unscrupulous people who will take advantage of people s desperation during this time of worry and doubt. When doing your reverse telephone lookup, always make sure that you are dealing with a company that has an accurate database.

Most of the services allow you to enter the phone number for free, which will give you some basic information about the number. You will usually be required to pay a very small fee to get a generated report with complete information, including name and address - some even give a map! A good service will give you the option to upgrade and purchase a lifetime use, instead of charging for every search. That way, if you need the service again in the future, it will be completely free.

Unfortunately, there is a very large market for this kind of service simply because people are not sitting back and hiding behind lies anymore. And, thanks to this technology, anyone who is being stalked by an unknown caller can have answers in minutes and can take the necessary action. Finding out who a phone number belongs to is a very simple process, and it is completely legitimate. You can find the answers you are looking for in minutes - and make any decisions about what to do with the information immediately.

Don t live in fear or worry anymore - if you need answers and want to find out who that phone number belongs to, go to http://www.phonenumberbelongsto.net for an instant reverse telephone lookup. You will have all the answers you are looking for in minutes from now.
